Your Chiropractor will go through a thorough history and exam on your first visit. They will take you through an interactive examination that may include a variety of functional tests and motions related to the requirements of your daily athletic, occupation and daily living activities, assessment of range of motion and examination of your neuromusculoskeletal system. From there we will present our findings to you and our recommendations for a treatment plan. Typically a treatment plan will include a combination of active and passive therapies, including an active rehab program for you to do at home to make sure you functionally perform at an optimal level and you can minimize the risks of chronic pain and dysfunction.

Dr. Cindy Lewis is a Chiropractor, Endurance Coach and former professional triathlete. Along with being a Chiropractor she is also the founder and head coach of Cindy Lewis Performance Training, coaching and training endurance athletes around North America in Triathlon, Cycling, Running and Adventure Racing.

Cindy graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2007 following her degree in Honours Kinesiology from McMaster University. She has been an endurance athlete for most of her life and has spent years learning about the body’s functions, biomechanics, injuries, and how to optimize performance while minimizing the incidence and impact of injury.

Dr. Lewis believes in treating a painful area while also looking at the whole patient to determine the cause of any dysfunctions related to their current complaints. Educating the patient in his or her condition is of primary importance in order to work with them in correcting any abnormal biomechanics and getting them back to their active lifestyle ASAP. Dr. Lewis uses a variety of therapeutic techniques but emphasizes Chiropractic manipulation of the spine and extremities and soft tissue treatment modalities as well as rehabilitative exercise in order to correct muscle imbalances and decrease the chance of injury or re-injury in the future.
